We're so excited about how this custom turned out for our friend Alex at Joy Machine's bike shop in Cleveland.
This was a special one as it uses a 1 1/8" headtube to match the amazing Igleheart steel segmented fork.
This style of fork known as "New England Style" or "Fat Chance" Or "Yo Eddy! Fork" was developed by the folks at Fat Chance cycles of which Chris was an early employee. Now a frame builder of global renown on his own in Portland, Chris is still regarded as the master of this style of fork.
It ticked all the boxes: historical significance, thru axle, flat mount, internal dynamo routing, rack and fender mounts. Paired beautifully here with our titanium frame and done up in a beautiful Tropical Green Cerakote.
This one's a real killer and hell of a paragraph in our Love Letter to Cycling...
